Association for Computing Machinery Chapter

Computer Science Society

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Computer Science Society is to encourage the development of software engineering skills in students to help them prepare for real life jobs in industry. We work on many open source projects ready for people of all skill levels to contribute, from Android/iOS development, to web development, and even computer vision. Students should feel comfortable and ready to work at an internship or full time job with the skills they acquire from CSS.

CSS is also a great place to network with recruiters and learn from guest speakers that do real life software development. We have speakers from Google, Microsoft, JPL, Raytheon, and many other companies! CSS is also one of the best places to meet new friends in the Computer Science community! You can find mentors, classmates, and fellow bright-eyed prospective developers walking about!
