Computer Science Society is the oldest computer science organization at Cal Poly Pomona. We are one of the largest clubs that host events regularly and advise our members on the next path to success. Our motto is “Connect passion to empathy“.
Connectivity, both socially and technically, is something in which our club focuses on as we prioritize providing our members with the opportunity to connect and build networks with professionals and peers. These connections allow them to reach new heights, and technology aids our club with connecting to the world, allowing members to enhance their knowledge and experience. We aim to unite our students and create an inclusive environment where they will strive the most.
Continuous technological advancement is a crucial driving force for society. During this tech storm, the improvement of resources and tools is always a goal in the industry. We aim to spread knowledge on this development through many of our activities. Whether they are technical or social development activities, we believe that the tools we provide will enhance one’s knowledge in both their technical and non-technical skills and ultimately guiding them to become a better person, one day at a time.
As the world is actively evolving, we need to prepare for these changes and adapt to them as fast as we can. The key for innovation lies in the hands of future generations pursuing a role in the tech industry and how keen they are in detecting, analyzing, and solving global problems. To prepare for a vastly improving and innovating industry, our club promotes life-long active learning to build robust and timeless skill sets. Therefore, we strive to emphasize how significant and inventive new tech solutions are to society.

Recently, I’ve been working on web development, watching and following along with bootcamps, but I do want to create software and also focus on mobile applications. If I’m not working on CS, you can catch me hanging out with my friends or at NSU (Nikkei Student Union). I’m also always down to get boba or in n out :) Hope to get along with everyone! See you at CSS~!
Hey everyone! I’m Jayden, a third-year Computer Science major. I’m passionate about becoming a full-stack developer because I love the process of creating complete applications from start to finish. Right now, I’m working on an exciting project called BroncoBond—a social media app designed to help guide students during their time at CPP. I’ll be leading the mentorship program for CSS, and I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you at our socials!
Hi! I'm Michael, a 2nd year here at CPP majoring in CS. I'm most interested in web/mobile dev due to the creative possibilities that stem from it, but I'm still eager to explore the fields of AI and machine learning. Currently, I have experience with fullstack dev but I'm actively learning more about everything. If you ever see me on campus feel free to say hi!
Hey y’all, my name is Stephanie and I am a 2nd year grad student at CPP majoring in CS. I have a lot of experience in front end development and UI/UX but I’m interested in full stack. I also used to be really into game dev and work for a game publishing company, so feel free to hit me up about that. Outside of CS, I love to crochet, play video games, enjoy live music, and eat! Feel free to say hi if you see me on campus or hit me up on Discord.
